What is Dance Rivals?
Dance Rivals is an annual student organised event, in order to raise money for the student run 'Chelsea Children's Camp' event. This event has been running since 2001 and has been a huge highlight of the social calendar with students every year. Dance Rivals uses the funds raised to support the running and organising of 'Chelsea Children's Camp' and provides an opportunity for all of the different teams at The University of Brighton to come together and create a dance performance that is remembered for years! This event benefits each student and provides an invaluable opportunity for to show creativity of choreographing a dance for their sports team as well as encouraging participation and healthy competition! This event often sees current and past students come together and the judging is completed by lecturers from The University of Brighton!

What is Chelsea Children's Camp?
CCC is a camp for children with special needs, providing them with an opportunity to experience an enjoyable sporting based holiday by the seaside. Running for over 60 years, Dance Rivals would not be possible without the amazing fundraising and crowdfunding that is taking place. The camp wouldn't be able to run without the necessary funding which would result in these children missing out on a great summer experience at the seaside so any support is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our project. Whether you have donated £1, £5, £20 or £100. Without the support of the sports teams, Dance Rivals would no longer be able to happen at the university, meaning the end of a nearly 20 year tradition.
